Using the link or code is optional. It does not change the sign-up steps, the eligibility rules or the identity verification requirements you'll face; those are set by Binance and are the same either way. You can open Binance's website directly and sign up without a code.

The referral link appears only in the guide, next to a short note saying what it is. None of the other pages on this site contain one.
